Black Ops 2 Review

Black Ops 2 is the latest installment of COD brought to us by Treyarch through Activision. I’ll start off by saying its a very balanced game when it comes to guns and maps. However I have one major bone to pick with this game. Hit detection. I cant seem to get the bullets that I’m shooting directly at an enemy to actually connect. I’ve never gotten killed more after I initiate a gunfight than any other game. Some might jump right to saying, “Well you must suck!” On the contrary. I kick ass in other cods. I can win all night long in a free for all on any of the Modern Warfare Titles. Top the Charts on a Domination!

It really does come down to a flaw in the coding and poor hit detection. On top of that, the lag compensation system they implemented burdens the hit detection even further. Buying a good connection and practicing your aim used to give you an advantage. Now it seems to not matter. Lag compensation allows the guy with the walmart connection to get the better of you while you pay for a good connection. I never heard a good thing about lag compensation so I have no idea why they put implemented it.

Ok, enough of the ranting. Black Ops 2 has some unique features and game modes. Such as Zombies. There is a big following with Zombies. Some people buy it purely for that game mode. It’s a game mode where zombies come at you in waves from all around. The maps are small, but there are hidden secrets along the way that will help you out. The longer you stay alive, the harder the zombies get and the bigger the waves get!

The single player campaign was decent. I like the concept and story behind it but the missions are pretty forgetful.

It also has some not so unique game modes like Gun Game, Sticks & Stones, Sharpshooter and One in the Chamber brought back from the Original Black Ops.

All that being said, It’s still a very balanced game and lots of fun can be had. I just personally don’t own a copy, for my own reasons.

Thank you for checking out my Black Ops 2 Review!

Black Ops 2 is Available on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3
